Plank Reaches
A bodyweight movement used in 1 AMRAP workout in the library.

How to do it
From a high plank, slowly reach one arm straight out in front of you until it is parallel to the floor. Place it back, then switch arms.
The coaching cue
"Do not let the hips spill." Your torso must remain perfectly square to the mat.
What changes inside an AMRAP
Widen your feet slightly wider than shoulder-width to create a tripod base before you lift a hand.
Common mistakes
- Shifting weight onto the planted arm and letting that shoulder collapse.
- Reaching only half-way, so the arm never comes parallel to the floor.
Workouts that use plank reaches
